אַל־תַּרְבּ֤וּ תְדַבְּרוּ֙ גְּבֹהָ֣ה גְבֹהָ֔ה יֵצֵ֥א עָתָ֖ק מִפִּיכֶ֑ם כִּ֣י אֵ֤ל דֵּעוֹת֙ יְהוָ֔ה ולא [וְל֥וֹ] נִתְכְּנ֖וּ עֲלִלֽוֹת׃
ניט מערן זאָלט איר הױכהאָפֿערדיקע רײד, ניט אַרױס זאָל פֿאַרשײַטס פֿון אײַער מױל. װאָרום אַ גאָט פֿון װיסן איז ה׳, און פֿון אים װערן מעשׂים געװױגן.
Berakhot
R. Ammi also said : Great is knowledge which is placed between two references to the Divine Name ; as it is said, "For a God of knowledge is the Lord" (I Sam. ii. 3). It is forbidden to have mercy upon one who does not possess knowledge ; as it is said, "For it is a people of no understanding, therefore He that made them will not have compassion upon them" (Is. xxvii. 11).
